Biography:

Mikyung Yu, Ph.D., is a Principal Scientist in Research at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Yu led the oral delivery efforts for siRNA in RNAi platform research. Dr. Yu has been supporting delivery science and early-stage drug development, and currently co-leads lipid nanoparticle platform for various cargo and extrahepatic deliveries. Prior to joining Alnylam, she served as an instructor at the Center for Nanomedicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH)/Harvard Medical School (HMS). Dr Yu. received her postdoctoral training at BWH/HMS with a research affiliate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where she gained extensive knowledge in delivery strategies of various therapeutic modalities. Dr. Yu earned her PhD in nanomedicine/drug delivery system from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology.
