Dr. Alan M. Gewirtz Memorial Scholarships

• Be a current member of OTS
• Be a current graduate student or have defended within the same calendar year as the current Annual Meeting.
• Eligibility is limited to current graduate students and those who have defended in the same calendar year as the current Annual Meeting.
• Be active in research at the time the award is given
• Attend the current year’s Annual Meeting and present a 15-minute short talk on their research
• Prior winners are not eligible

Required application materials:

• Current CV: must include the approximate date on which the advanced degree is expected or the exact date on which the advanced degree was awarded; should include all evidence of contributions to the field (publications, patents, presentations, awards, and/or other relevant information)
• Summary of accomplishments which detail the applicant’s most significant contributions (research, mentorship, outreach, and/or other relevant information) to the field to date
• A letter of recommendation, preferably from the applicant’s graduate mentor(s) or supervisor(s)

Recipient receives:

• $2,000 USD award
• Complimentary registration to the OTS Annual Meeting
• Formal presentation of the award at the OTS Annual Meeting
• Short talk speaking slot at the OTS Annual Meeting
