Biography:
Lucy F. Yang, PhD received her Bachelor’s in Bioengineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in after conducting research under Prof. K. Dane Wittrup and Prof. Scott R. Manalis. She earned her PhD at the University of Washington (UW) advised by Suzie H. Pun. She investigated SARS-CoV-2 spike protein binding aptamers for rapid diagnostics and therapeutics, as well as targeted polymeric drug delivery for kidney disease. Lucy’s next steps are into the cell therapy field where she will continue to apply oligonucleotides to healthcare.
