Biography
Dr. Corey received his BA from Harvard in 1985 and his PhD from UC Berkeley in 1990 under the guidance of Dr. Peter Schultz. After postdoctoral study in the laboratory of Dr. Charles Craik at UCSF, he has been on the faculty at UT Southwestern in Dallas since 1992.
Areas of interest have included peptide nucleic acids, locked nucleic acids, inhibitors of human telomerase, antisense and antigene inhibition of gene expression, noncoding RNAs, transcriptional silencing, RNA-mediated gene activation, and allele-selective inhibition of trinucleotide repeat genes.
