Job Description

Putting the ‘AI’ in RNAi || Program Lead || London

It’s pretty well accepted now that AI is the future of most industries – how would you like a chance to help define that future for drug discovery?

We are currently working with a London-based biotech, that is pioneering the development of siRNA therapeutics in the UK, facilitated by one of the most powerful computational platforms in the country.

They are the first to marry AI and RNAi in the UK, and are currently using them to develop novel therapeutics for complex diseases. They have exceptional R&D teams to realise this ambition, and are now looking for RNA therapeutic experts to join them – this is where you come in.

As their Program Lead, you will use your expertise in in vivo pharmacology and RNA therapeutics to help drive the company’s pre-clinical portfolio into the clinic – you’ll stay very close to the science, but will have a ‘big picture’ view of the current treatment landscape, using your excellent knowledge of early and late stage competitor pipelines to strategically influence company decision-making.

This is not a lab-based role, so your excellent CRO management skills will be put to good use, which will allow you to focus on project strategy and execution. This is a very senior, visible and influential position within the company – you’ll make an immediate and lasting impact and will have the opportunity to progress into a more senior role as the company continues to grow, where you will be leading R&D teams as part of the senior management team.

The company are based in Paddington, London and offer a hybrid work model and flexible hours – work-life balance is very important to them but there is also a very high calibre of scientific talent there, which has helped develop a high-performance culture across the business. Because of this, they are looking for someone who is very pro-active, decisive and autonomous – a true leader in their field.

If this sounds interesting, and you have significant experience working in the areas of complex metabolic, cardiovascular or rare disorders, with a background in in vivo pharmacology, this could be the one for you.
