A Post-Doctoral position is available at the University of Versailles, France in the lab “Biotherapies of Neuromuscular diseases” directed by Aurelie Goyenvalle at U1179 INSERM-UVSQ.
The project aims at evaluating antisense therapeutic approaches (both oligonucleotide and AAV based) to restore the expression of various dystrophin isoforms in the brain of DMD mouse models and assessing the impact on the neuropsychological /behavioural features.
The applicants should have a PhD in neuroscience, genetics or a closely related field. Good knowledge of neurobiology and biotherapies will be required, as well as a strong experience in molecular biology (RNA biology, qPCR, WB, IF, In situ hybridization). Previous experience with in vivo work in mice, antisense therapeutics and/or AAV viral vectors would be appreciated. The position is currently available and will be funded for three years. Salary will be in accordance with the University scale, depending on experience.
