The Nucleic Acid Therapeutics for Rare Diseases Group at Biobizkaia Health Research Institute (Bilbao, Spain) is seeking a junior Principal Investigator (PI) to establish and lead their own research line in our dynamic, collaborative environment. Hiring will be effective upon obtention of a fellowship.
🔬 What We Do:
Our group focuses on developing nucleic acid-based therapies and other innovative approaches for rare diseases, with a particular emphasis on neuromuscular disorders. We are open to expanding into new research areas aligned with your expertise and vision!

We are already active members and leaders of international networks in the fields of neuromuscular disorders and nucleic acid therapeutics. This includes a doctoral network funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions that will begin in early 2025, providing exceptional opportunities for collaboration and visibility.

We’re seeking a researcher with:
Several years of postdoctoral experience.
Proven expertise in developing nucleic acid therapeutics and working with cellular models.
The ambition and eligibility to apply for competitive fellowships like Ramon y Cajal, Miguel Servet, or Ikerbasque Fellow.
